Cool mountain air...ahhhh!

The world is suffering.  The humans have talked to friends up in the NE and temperatures have been 100 plus!  Too HOT!!  Especially if you have a heavy hair coat like mine!

Today I wanted to tell you some of the things I've learned...how to wrap humans around your paw!!!

First, if they are busy, sit or lay patiently and wait until they finish their task and sit down...then you can bother them until they get up and play with you!  After all, you don't pester when they are busy doing people stuff.

Second, always go potty when told to do so...you never know if you'll get left at home alone while the humans go have fun.

Third, learn to drink when told to do so.  It often means you'll get to go someplace with the humans, or if you're traveling, you might be in the car for awhile before you get another chance for a drink.

Fourth, always take a pee break when you get a chance...you don't know when you'll get another chance.

Finally, it's your job to get your sleep in the daytime, so you can be alert to notify the humans should there be any strange noises in the night.

Good luck young pups!

Very sage advice young Hawk. I have learned and practice the very same things. I will put some of them to use this weekend when we go on a road trip to Grandma's house, where I have to be on my very best behavior at all times, but I don't mind because we are going to go to the lake afterwards and I'll get to swim. Yippee. . . .

Hey Frankie, I never did hear how your trip was to your Grandma's house and that swim a couple weeks ago. Bet it helped in this heat. Too bad you couldn't bring the lake home to your backyard! Hawk
